Welcome new Dragons! This year, the Drexel Libraries has lots of events planned to introduce new students, faculty and staff to our rich network of information resources and services before classes start on September 23.  

From daily open houses at the W. W. Hagerty Library to trivia games and resource fairs, these events provide new Dragons a chance to talk with Libraries staff and explore the Drexel Libraries well ahead of the rush of Week 1.

Welcome CNHP graduate students! Talk with librarian information experts about the Libraries’ unique information resources, learning environments, services and expertise that support and engage students throughout their time at Drexel and beyond.

Stop by and take a break from moving in! The Drexel Libraries, along with a variety of Drexel offices and services, will be available so you can ask questions and get to know the University. *Parents and families are welcome to attend.

  • Chat with Libraries staff, as well as the Libraries’ Student Information Explorers, to learn about our programs, workshops and other initiatives that support the Drexel community.
  • Borrow laptops and portable power chargers from the front desk or one of our self-service kiosks.
  • Experience our interactive Thinkhub station and Data Visualization Zone in the Dragons’ Learning Den, a collaborative workspace.

Ready. Set. College: Tools from the Drexel Libraries

Library Learning Terrace (University City Campus)

Learn how using resources provided by Drexel University Libraries can help you succeed right from Week 1. You’ll also have the chance to explore the Library Learning Terrace and meet Drexel’s Information Assistance Librarian, Elise Ferer. Elise is your go-to librarian during your first year at Drexel. She is available to help new students with everything from answering general questions about the Libraries to assisting students with research assignments to offering advice and guidance when you just don’t know what to do next.
