Printing, Scanning & Computing

The Libraries provides access to desktop and laptop computers for use within library locations as well as printers, scanners, copiers,  headphones, projectors, video adapters, computer mice, USB thumb drives and Ethernet cords. Equipment is provided to enable access to electronic resources for members of the Drexel community.

W. W. Hagerty Library

Desktop computers are available for use on the 1st floor and lower level in classrooms L13-C and L14. The classrooms are available for general use when they are not in use for teaching; the schedule for these rooms can be viewed online.

All computers on the 1st floor and lower level provide full Internet access, as well as Microsoft Office applications; many specialized software applications are also available in the computer labs/classrooms.

  • Laptops: Laptops are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk (1st floor) and the 24/7 Laptop Kiosk in the Bookmark Cafe for use within the building. See the Equipment For Loan for more information.
  • Printing: All computers print to the library print stations, which are located near the computer stations on the first floor. Patrons can use their Dragon Card or pay cash at the Circulation Desk. For more details on printing in Hagerty Library, see our printing procedures.
  • Scanning: A scanning station is available on the first floor, between the circulation desk and computer area. Scanning is free of charge and scanned documents may be saved to a USB flashdrive or sent to any email address.

Most computers in the Library require log-in with a Drexel University email ID and password; alumni and other qualified individuals may show appropriate ID to request guest log-in. Computers offering email/Internet only access are available on the 1st floor of the Library for other visitors.

Hahnemann Library

Computers are available for use on the 2nd floor of the library during regular opening hours. In addition, computers and printing are also available for the use of Drexel University students, faculty, staff and residents in the 24-hour study room on the 1st floor of the library.

The computer lab on the first floor, which is open 24/7, is equipped with PCs for research and general computing purposes. The Computer Classroom is equipped with PCs and can also be used for general computer use when the room is not being used for classes. All computers provide full Internet access and Microsoft Office applications; some may have specialized software applications as well.

  • Laptops: Laptops are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor. See Equipment For Loan for more information.
  • Printing: All computers can print to the black and white printers on the 1st and 2nd floors (jobs will appear in the queues at both print release stations until the job is printed). Jobs not printed within 2 hours will automatically delete from the queue. For more information, please see our printing procedures.
  • Scanning: A scanning station is available on the 2nd floor, in front of the Circulation desk. Scanning is free of charge and scanned documents may be saved to a USB flash drive or sent to any email address.

Queen Lane Library

The Library is equipped with PCs for research purposes. Queen Lane Library's computers and printers are available 24-hours a day for the use of Drexel University students, faculty, staff and residents.

  • Printing: All computers can print to a black and white printer. For more information, please see our printing procedures.
  • Scanning: A PC with a scanner is located in the Queen Lane Library next to the printer. Scanning is free of charge and scanned documents may be saved to a USB flashdrive or sent to any email address.
