Printing, Scanning & Computing

The Libraries provides access to desktop and laptop computers for use within library locations as well as portable power chargers, printers, scanners, copiers, headphones, projectors, video adapters, computer mice, USB thumb drives and Ethernet cords. Equipment is provided to enable access to electronic resources for members of the Drexel community.

W. W. Hagerty Library

Desktop computers are available for use on the 1st floor and lower level in classrooms L13-C and L14. The classrooms are available for general use when they are not in use for teaching; the schedule for these rooms can be viewed online.

All computers on the 1st floor and lower level provide full Internet access, as well as Microsoft Office applications; many specialized software applications are also available in the computer labs/classrooms.

  • Laptops: Laptops are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk (1st floor) and the 24/7 Laptop Kiosk in the Dragons' Learning for use within the building. See the Equipment For Loan for more information.
  • Printing: All computers print to the library printers, which are located near the computer stations on the first floor. Patrons can use their Dragon Card to pay at the printer or pay with cash or credit card at the Circulation Desk. For more details on printing in Hagerty Library, see our printing procedures.
  • Scanning: A scanning station is available on the first floor, between the circulation desk and computer area. Scanning is free of charge and scanned documents may be saved to a USB flash drive or sent to any email address.

Most computers in the library require log-in with a Drexel University email ID and password; alumni and other qualified individuals may show appropriate ID to request guest access. Computers offering email/Internet-only access are available on the 1st floor of the library for other visitors.

Hahnemann Library

Computers, printers and scanners are available on the 1st and 2nd floors of the library during normal library hours. Computers and printers located on the 1st floor  24/7 space are available for Drexel University students, faculty, staff and residents.

All computers provide full Internet access, as well as access to Microsoft Office applications. Many specialized software applications are also available on the computers in computer classroom (room 1208), which is available for general use when not being used for classes.   • Laptops: Laptops are available for checkout at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor. See Equipment For Loan for more information.

Queen Lane Library

The Queen Lane Library is equipped with PCs for research purposes. All computers provide full Internet access, as well as Microsoft Office applications and many specialized software applications. Queen Lane Library's computers, printer and scanner are available 24/7 for Drexel University students, faculty, staff and residents.

  • Printing: All computers can print to a color printer. Jobs not printed within 2 hours will automatically delete from the queue. For more information, please see our printing procedures.
  • Scanning: A PC with a scanner is located in the Queen Lane Library next to the printer. Scanning is free of charge, and scanned documents may be saved to a USB flash drive or sent to any email address.
