Access the DMPTOOL

A group of research institutions led by the University of California Curation Center of the California Digital Library have partnered to create the DMPTool to simplify the process of writing data management plans by clarifying the questions to be addressed, and by providing suggested text.

To use the DMPTool:

  • Connect to DMPTool
  • Select 'Drexel University' from the list of institutions
  • Indicate whether you are a New User or Returning User
  • If a New User, you will be asked to create a DMPTool account with a username and password; password must be 8-30 characters. Please use your Drexel/Drexelmed email address.
  • Select your proposed funding agency from the dropdown list, then proceed through the steps of the Tool.

You can export your resulting plan to save to your local drive (in .txt or .rtf format) or create a pdf that will allow you to share your plan (via a Tool-generated URL) with collaborators.

For further assistance, email or contact your liaison librarian.
