Borrow from other Libraries

SERVICE UPDATE: Access to physical materials via E-ZBorrow and ILLiad will resume on September 16, 2020. Please place all requests to borrow physical items from other libraries per the instructions listed below.

Overview of Services

Eligible Drexel University community members may use either of the Libraries InterLibrary Loan systems (E-ZBorrow or ILLiad) to get books, journal articles, and other materials not available through Drexel University Libraries.

  • Interlibrary Loan services via ILLiad are free to University faculty, staff, students, residents and fellows.
  • E-ZBorrow is only available to Drexel students, faculty and staff.
  • Eligible Drexel University members may borrow items by visiting participating regional libraries. Learn more here.

E-ZBorrow

  • E-ZBorrow service will resume on September 16, 2020.
  • W. W. Hagerty Library and Hahnemann Library clients will have the option to select “Pick up at the W. W. Hagerty Service Desk," "Pickup at Hahnemann Service Desk" or “Mail it to me.” Queen Lane Library clients will only have the “Mail it to me” option.
  • Materials will be mailed to your confirmed address in the library system. You can check your address by logging into your Library Account via the Library home page.
  • Materials will be sent with a return UPS shipping label and/or envelope
  • Email ill@drexel.edu with any questions about the EZBorrow service or shipping.

ILLiad

  • You may use ILLiad to request materials such as journal articles, conference proceedings, CDs, and DVDs.
  • Many book titles not available via E-ZBorrow may also be requested via ILLiad.
  • Most journal article and book chapter requests are filled within one to two days. All other requests are usually filled within five days.
  • Check the status of your request by logging into your ILLiad account.
  • You will be notified by email when your items are ready to be picked up at a Drexel Libraries Service desk.
  • Due date and renewal eligibility for all items requested via ILLiad is determined by the lending library. You can submit a renewal request by logging into your ILLiad account.
